Process for sending information to Kelan
Bids

The price of a printed circuit consists in two elements: the first relates to expenses for tools required during manufacturing; the second to the unitary price per part (which depends principally on the following parameters).

  •  Type: number of layers, masks and serigraphs which make up the circuit and whether it includes SMD technology or not.
  •  Degree of difficulty, defined by a combination of the following factors.
  •  Minimum drill diameter
  •  Minimum corona of the external faces
  •  Minimum corona for the internal signal faces
  •  Minimum insulation for the internal earthed faces
  •  Minimum width of the conductor for external and internal faces
  •  Minimum space between conductors
  •  Number of units to be manufactured.

Production times

Under normal circumstances the manufacturing times in Kelan is as follows:

5 working days for the prototypes
10 working days for the series, also depending on the workload , quantity and urgency shown by the customer.

Manufacturing times may only be ensured if problems do not arise with the information supplied for the manufacture of the printed circuits .
Said times do not include the time taken for transportation. Nevertheless, the transportation companies used by Kelan ensure next-day delivery to the majority of customers.

How to to send documents

The required documentation for the manufacture of a printed circuit (preferably) consists in a series of files created by the design program used by the customer’s R&D department, plus another form called, for example, "Readme" which specifies all of the files which will be sent, such as the data referring to the circuit or an example form or any other comment from the designer.

We recommend that all of these files be zipped together to form one, compressed file.

The fastest and most secure way of sending the zip file is by e-mail to "kelan@kelan.com".

CAD File formats

The CAD file formats which we can process are the typical formats used in printed circuit design programs and are listed here by order of preference:

-GERBER RS 274-X
-GERBER RS 274-D
-FIRE 9xxx
-BARCO DPF
-IPC-D350
-ORBOTECH
-DXF
-HP-GL
